Zirconia Crowns in Turkey
Zirconia crowns are metal-free, tooth-coloured caps that cover and protect a weak, damaged or misshapen tooth, or a dental implant.

The basics
What is a zirconia crown?
A crown covers the whole visible part of a tooth. Crowns can be made from metal, porcelain fused to metal or all-ceramic materials. Zirconia is a strong ceramic that contains no metal, and full-contour zirconia can be shaded so that it blends with your natural teeth.
At our clinic, zirconia crowns are made from Ivoclar and Noritake materials in our own dental laboratory.
Uses
What are zirconia crowns used for?
- Chipped, cracked or worn teeth
- Teeth with large fillings or after root canal treatment
- Restoring dental implants
- Changing the shape or colour of teeth as part of a smile makeover
- Closing small gaps between teeth
Advantages
Advantages of zirconia crowns
- Metal-free, so there is no dark line at the gum
- Strong and resistant to chewing forces
- Biocompatible and well tolerated by the gums
- Resistant to staining and to hot and cold
- A long life with regular check-ups
Disadvantages
Are there any disadvantages?
Because zirconia is very hard, it can wear the opposing natural teeth. E-max crowns are more translucent than zirconia, which some patients prefer for front teeth. Your dentist explains which material suits each tooth.
Step by step
How it works
- 01
Assessment
Examination and X-rays to check the tooth and root.
- 02
Preparation
Some natural tooth structure is removed and the tooth is scanned.
- 03
Temporary crown
A temporary crown is fitted while your crowns are made in our laboratory.
- 04
Fitting
The zirconia crowns are checked for fit, colour and bite, then bonded.
The number of visits, the length of your stay and healing times depend entirely on your treatment. Your dentist sets them out in your written plan.
When you are home
Aftercare
Care for crowns as you would natural teeth: brush twice a day, clean between the teeth and keep regular check-ups with your own dentist.
Your coordinator stays in touch after you leave. You can send photos or arrange a video call with the clinic at any time, and we can share your records with your own dentist.
