Implants & prostheses
Dental Prosthesis in Turkey
A dental prosthesis replaces missing or damaged teeth. Depending on how many teeth are affected, it can be fixed in place, like a crown or bridge, or removable, like a denture.

The basics
What is a dental prosthesis?
Teeth wear over the years through chewing and, for some people, grinding at night. Decay and accidental fractures also damage parts of a tooth. A prosthesis replaces what has been lost and helps restore chewing, speech and appearance.
Types
Types of dental prosthesis
- Crowns, to restore a single damaged tooth
- Bridges, to replace missing teeth using neighbouring teeth for support
- Implant-supported crowns and bridges
- Full and partial dentures
- Implant-retained dentures that clip onto implants

Fixed
Fixed prostheses
Fixed prostheses are bonded to natural teeth or implants and cannot be taken out at home. They can be made for a single tooth (a crown) or several teeth (a bridge). They are made from biocompatible materials and restore both function and shape.
Removable
Removable prostheses
Removable dentures can be taken out for cleaning. They are an option for people who prefer to avoid surgery or are not suitable for implants. They help with chewing and speech and support the lips and cheeks.
Step by step
How it works
- 01
Assessment
Examination and X-rays to check the gums and bone.
- 02
Impressions
Digital scans or moulds of your mouth are taken.
- 03
Try-in
The prosthesis is tried in and adjusted for fit and bite.
- 04
Fitting
The final prosthesis is fitted and you are shown how to care for it.
The number of visits, the length of your stay and healing times depend entirely on your treatment. Your dentist sets them out in your written plan.
When you are home
Aftercare
Clean a prosthesis as carefully as natural teeth: brush daily and use floss or interdental brushes around fixed work. Take out and clean dentures as your dentist advises. New dentures can take time to get used to, and small adjustments are normal.
Your coordinator stays in touch after you leave. You can send photos or arrange a video call with the clinic at any time, and we can share your records with your own dentist.
