Orthodontics in Turkey
Orthodontic treatment straightens teeth and corrects the relationship between the teeth, jaws and face, improving how teeth look and work.

The basics
What is orthodontic treatment?
Most treatment uses braces. Some cases need a tooth extraction, and jaw surgery is occasionally needed for skeletal problems. Teeth are often sore for a short time after braces are adjusted; this settles.
Stages
The stages of treatment
A complete analysis is the most important step.
- Examination
- Records: X-rays, photos and models or scans of your teeth
- Diagnosis
- Planning
- Treatment
Age
At what age can I have orthodontic treatment?
Adolescence is often the easiest time, but adults can have orthodontic treatment too. Having enough healthy teeth matters more than age. For children, it may be best to wait until enough adult teeth have come through.
Risks
Can braces damage my teeth?
Braces themselves do not damage teeth, but brackets and wires trap food and plaque. Poor cleaning and sugary food and drink can cause permanent damage, so careful brushing is essential.
Step by step
How it works
- 01
Assessment
X-rays, photos and scans of your teeth.
- 02
Plan
The movement of the teeth is planned.
- 03
Treatment
Braces are fitted and adjusted at intervals.
- 04
Retention
A retainer keeps the teeth in their new position.
The number of visits, the length of your stay and healing times depend entirely on your treatment. Your dentist sets them out in your written plan.
When you are home
Aftercare
Orthodontic treatment needs regular reviews over months. Ask your dentist how follow-up will work once you are home.
Your coordinator stays in touch after you leave. You can send photos or arrange a video call with the clinic at any time, and we can share your records with your own dentist.
